How Long Is A Year-Round Permit Good For?

From the day you buy it through the last day of that same month one year later, per the DNR. It covers every Minnesota state park and recreation area.

Where Do You Buy One?

Online: a one-day permit through the DNR’s Yodel portal, or either permit through Reserve MN. In person: any staffed state park ranger station, or the DNR License Center at 500 Lafayette Road in St. Paul. The DNR recommends buying before you leave home because ranger stations are not always open.

Who Gets A Discount?

The DNR says disabled veterans and active-duty military can get discounted or free vehicle permits; read the DNR permit page for who qualifies.
