What We Left Out
- The Minnesota Historical Society’s July 2025 change to free, self-guided outdoor visits at three sites (Charles Lindbergh House, Historic Forestville, Snake River Fur Post). The release does not say whether the indoor exhibits are open, so we cannot call them closed.
- The July 2026 flood closures at Beaver Creek Valley State Park and the Mystery Cave unit. That was a temporary closure, and we did not read a reopening notice. Check the Minnesota DNR state parks page before you drive.
- Fort Snelling: the Minnesota Historical Society decided in June 2022 not to rename it.
How We Checked
We opened each source page on November 1, 2026 and read the date and wording. A news story is marked as a news source. When a source says a place would close but we did not read that it did, the row says so. Dates are written as the source gives them. Before you travel, confirm hours and status with the place itself.
